Purchased 5L Box wine, 40% gone by next morning


On Tuesday, went to the liquor store (20% of wine special) and bought 2 boxes of 5L wine and a 1.5L of white wine.

That evening I opened the box wine and drank 2 glasses of wine (I'm reducing my alcohol, so I monitor what I drink).

The box was left on the counter.

The next morning I pick up the box to put away and it's way lighter.

So I decide to weigh it and compare it to the new box (remember I bought two).



I weighed each a half a dozen times and here's what I found.


I weigh 173.4.  With the full box I was 185.0.   With the box that was just opened 180.8.

So a full box is (185-173.4) 11.6 lbs.  The just opened box was 7.4 lbs.  4.2 lbs of wine was drunk.

4.2 lbs is 1.91kg.  There's .75kg of wine per bottle (roughly) so 2.54 bottles of wine we drunk in a single nite.  I had two small glasses the night before - so over 2 bottles were drunk in an evening.

When I asked Tracy, she said she drank some wine (from the other box) but not from this box.  But this pattern has happened over and over - including the Knob Creek bourbon incident at OBX.

Another Missed Play Session at Cornerstone

Day before yesterday, same deal as usual.   Thought it was at 10.30am. Started getting Ella ready.  I gave her a bath, fed her food. Then discovered it was at 11.30. Tracy starts getting ready (doing something).   By 12.30pm no one ready to go so Tracy says.....I'll do this tomorrow. To date, Tracy has never been able (on her own) to take Ella to a Play Session. Today was another try, but Ella fell asleep. Next try is tomorrow at 6.30pm.

Kiev Trip Aug 2018

Unable to prep or pack for our trip. I spent three days prepping so there were no issues. We both agreed to be packed one full day in advance. As usual, Tracy was a crazy maniac, hyper, emotional. ranting, and then sleeping on an off......all the way until  the morning we had to leave for the flight. I stayed up late, getting everything I could packed for Ella (assuming Tracy may not be coming). On the trip - Tracy was in Bed in some depressed mood about 20% of the time. She also drank large amounts of vodka - maybe 1/2 gallon. She drank it, then would go to the store and buy more.  I finally said...what's in your backpack....? and sure enough she bought vodka and kept it in her bag. Who knows how much she drank.
